Parklands in Sherwood - Great Rental Apartments

If you are looking to rent an apartment in a good located Brisbane suburb, consider Parklands at Sherwood. This development is a year old. In my view, these apartments are a good size, with generally good floor plans (particularly when compared with recently released developments). About half the apartments have a northern park/city view, which is fantastic. It is worth comparing the 3 bedroom parkview apartments (which are about 150sqm total floor area) with the 2 bedroom apartments in new inner city buildings that are less than 90sqm and that rent for about the same price.

House in Graceville


It is interesting to compare houses to apartments when looking to rent. Quality apartments often have a pool, gym, security, less maintenance, views and modern kitchens and bathrooms. Houses have more space, more privacy and a yard. Compare, for example, this house available for rent in Graceville, just near Sherwood. It is in a much better location than Parklands at Sherwood, but does not have views. Rent is $560 per week, for a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house:

Parklands Sherwood is a great apartment and townhouse development in Sherwood, Brisbane. Less than a year old, there are 1, 2 and 3 bedroom airconditioned apartments, with great parkland and city views. There is a pool, gym, media room and village green. Sherwood is one of the prestige suburbs in Brisbane.

My recommendation is to rent an apartment overlooking the park with city views, not an apartment overlook the Village Green. There are 3 configurations for 2 bedroom apartments. The largest is on the corner, the next largest has a separate study or media room (which could also be a third bedroom).

Parklands at Sherwood - Stage Two Completes


Stage Two of Pradella's Parklands at Sherwood completes on 15 May 2009 -- and from my inspection recently, it looks fantastic.

If you have thinking of renting an apartment, get in quick because I understand that the best apartments already have a waiting list. Rental prices are reasonable -- better value for money than Taringa or Toowong. And most apartments have 2 car spaces. All are airconditioned. The facilities are unique in the Western suburbs of Brisbane.

Ask to see an AP2-01 apartment, overlooking the park. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus study and a great kitchen.
